Cardio Pump
Cardio Pump (a stability ball class) is a great new idea in fitness training and focuses on developing core strength as well as overall body shaping and toning.

Many believe that core strength training is all about developing strong abdominal muscles. Truly, abs are a part of it but real core strength is more than just a six-pack. It’s about using your stabilizer muscles to stay strong and in control of your body throughout any physical activity. In that light your calves, legs, hips, chest and back are also part of the "core." A good example of superb core strength is the professional football player who is able to stay upright and moving forward in spite of the many forces trying to push him in the opposite direction. Another great example is the downhill ski racer who is able quickly
change directional force in response to the changing terrain.
In Cardio Pump, Master David Blevins makes use of the fit ball and light hand weights to work on helping YOU develop real core strength. And, in addition to core strength development, our Cardio Pump classes also emphasize overall body toning and muscle sculpting. So, in addition to ball work, you will use sequences of large muscle movements to develop balance and stability while also getting that "burn." We might be on the ball, or we
might do those movements standing, on all fours, or sometimes on just one foot. On any given night we could be working to help you shape up your legs and hips, and tone your arms, back, shoulders and chest.
We are talking about doing some major body-sculpting and developing some rock-hard abs through Cardio Pump! And, because you will move non-stop
from body part to body part, Cardio Pump improves your aerobic fitness level as well, much like a circuit workout. However, don't confuse Cardio Pump with some boring, circuit routine. Cardio Pump is a wild exercise experience set to the background of the best in classic and edgy rock music.
Like Cardio Kickboxing and our other fitness classes, Cardio Pump is designed to provide you with a great
workout no matter what your fitness level. Are you just getting started? Master Blevins will help guide you through the movements as you learn proper form and technique. These are ideas that are critical in maximizing the result for your workout effort. Are you already an animal? Don't worry, he will tailor the workout to suit you too! By adjusting the type, amount, and intensity of the excercises, you will find a level that is suited to your needs, whether you are a beginner or fitness pro. And, as with Cardio Kickboxing, Master Blevins makes every night just a little bit different to help keep you motivated and challenged. Back muscles, shoulders,

Cardio Packages
Getting started is sooooo easy. Wear any type of comfortable clothing --- remember that you'll get warm (hot) and a little (lot) sweaty! You'll need to bring a pair of aerobics or cross-training shoes that you wear indoors only. You won't need anything else --- we provide the weights and the fit balls. Get ready to start seeing results.
Your first workout is free so you can try out a class without spending a dime.
There are no contracts at Blue Wave. When you are ready to join, you simply choose the fitness pack you want to purchase. You can use these workouts for Cardio Pump as well as Cardio Kickboxing, Combat Fit, or Yoga. Check out buying a fitness pack that meets your needs. Fitness packs NEVER expire!
